There’s plenty of action to get stuck into at the weekend with six races from the book to analyse, including three major events from Fairyhouse on Sunday that could have a big impact on the Cheltenham Festival.
A brief mention about a couple of races that won’t be entered in the Top of the Form chart but some of you may want to check them out.
The first is an apprentice handicap over 7f from Doncaster’s final fixture in November, in which three subsequent winners have emerged on the all-weather – Smarty Socks, Internationaldebut and River Thames. I won’t be placing turf races in the Top 20 until next season, but there may be a few more winners to emerge from this race during the winter on the all-weather.
The second race is a 1m handicap from Southwell on October 19 won by Dan Chillingworth. This race may yet appear in the Top 20 when its rating rises, but four winners have subsequently obliged, including Kimono My House, Spinning, Elusive Warrior and Direct Debit.
Good luck to everyone having a punt at the weekend, any fancies of mine will appear on the Daily Dust website.
