Some quality ratings above to wet the appetite for the coming months, with plenty managing to break par, while the runners-up from certain contests should also be noted as stated in the book.
Another individual who recorded an above-par performance rating over Christmas was my wife who casually backed three winners from three races at Chepstow on the 27th – my birthday!
Wind Instrument at 9/1 (early prices) – hence our baby – followed by Heathcliff at 13/2 – after Wuthering Heights – and then Notre Pere at 8/1 – something to do with me being a father. Three £5 win singles put her well in contention for the January sales, although I had my ear bitten off by her grandad for not putting them in a £2.50 each-way treble, which would’ve paid well over a grand.
Perhaps next time...then again.

Thanks for the tips Dave. I really enjoy your column in the 'Outlook'
I update the latest list with the horses highlighted in your column. I then follow them on their next two outings. It has made me more selective in my approach. Many thanks and keep up the good work.

Thanks Dunc,

Hope you made a few quid in the past week with some of the Top of the Form runners - it was a good week for the column.

Keep an eye out in the 'Outlook' during the early part of 2009 as there may be an exciting new extension of my current work.
