CHELTENHAM – DAY THREE

Here are my trends notes on the Freddie Williams (Racing Post) Plate (4.00 CH4)

Stan – Would have to be the highest rated winner of this off 153.

Pablo Du Charmil – Official rating too high and yet to win beyond 2m2f – 10 winners of this won over 2m3f+

Oslot - Official rating too high and Paul Nicholls yet to strike in this event.

Finger Onthe Pulse - Official rating too high and unseated latest – 10 winners made the top five last time.

Perce Rock – Good trends profile despite 2m3f-2m4f wins the last twice coming over hurdles. Also has a handy fourth in the Cheltenham bumper in 2006 – nine other winners of this also ran at the Festival.

Buck The Legend – Fits most trends other than run more than four times this season. Yard hit back with a winner at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

Three Mirrors – Fits most trends despite only sixth last time. Unplaced three times at Cheltenham is a concern.

Osako D’Airy – Fits most trends despite five outings this term. Lack of Cheltenham experience not ideal and owner claims he must have it heavy.

Pop – Fits most trends despite five outings this term. Lack of Cheltenham experience not ideal.

Silverburn – Pulled up latest not ideal and blinkers tried today. Fourth at the Festival in 2007 a good trend though but yard never won this.

Akilak – Excellent trends profile and knows Cheltenham well. Ideally wants softer ground but has form in good to soft.

Something Wells – Excellent trends profile, though regular jockey this year opts for Stan and Mr W Biddick who rides today is 0-15 here at Cheltenham.

Clarified – Yet to win over chases or over 2m3f+, plus yard not had a winner since December.

Turkish Surprise – Lacks a win over 2m3f+ and over chases.

Or Bleu – Good trends profile though lacks Cheltenham experience.

Oceanos Des Obeaux – Fits most trends though six runs this term not ideal.

Bible Lord – Fourth in this last year and runs off same mark, although been absent for longer than two months.

Notable D’Estruval – No top five outing latest and lacks Cheltenham experience.

Fier Normand – Yet to win in Class 3 or higher and may want faster ground.

Boomshakalaka – Not in the top five last time and unplaced twice at Cheltenham.

Le Burf – Fits most trends but five visits to Cheltenham have resulted in form figures of 00000.

Cossack Dancer – Fits most trends but may want faster ground and unplaced twice at Cheltenham.

Ping Pong Sivola – Seven outings already this season not ideal, and races from out of the handicap, although C&D victory a bonus.

Borora – Has never shown best form here from numerous runs and unseated in this last year.

Trends top three: Perce Rock – Akilak – Something Wells
