Hope some of you managed to include Haradasun in your bets that was short-listed in the Queen Anne preview here yesterday. The Jersey Stakes is given the quick briefing today.

Strike The Deal – Bypassed for carrying a penalty.

Beacon Lodge – Bypassed for carrying a penalty.

Jupiter Pluvius – Bypassed for carrying a penalty.

Paco Boy – Bypassed for carrying a penalty.

Aqlaam – Impressive last time, conditions should suit and yard bang in form. No winner came from a maiden last time out though.

Billyford – Didn’t record a top-two effort the last twice.

Bobs Surprise – Well held by Calming Influence in King Charles II at Newmarket last time – winners of this finish in the top-two at HQ.

Calming Influence – Fits the trends perfectly having won the King Charles II at Newmarket and yard won it four years ago.

Dream Eater – Didn’t record a top-two effort the last twice and been off longer than a month.

Generous Thought – A horse I like after a nice turn of foot in second at York. Form of that has taken some knocks, but two Jersey winners ran in a handicap last time and he is still improving - outside chance.

Georgebernardshaw – Nothing to dislike about him, but been off longer than a month and unproven on fast ground.

Il Warrd – Another off the track longer than a month, but no shame in being beaten over 7l in French Guineas, has won on fast ground, and Frankie chooses him over Calming Influence.

Red Alert Day – Didn’t record a top-two effort the last twice.

Shallal – Been off the track two months.

Stimulation – Was a narrow runner-up to Calming Influence in the King Charles II at Newmarket and two runners-up of that have landed the Jersey.

Tawaash – Handles conditions and bullied two lesser fields from the front the last twice. May not get own way up front, but would be interesting for in-running players if he can get a soft lead.

War Officer – No main negative on a trends basis but unproven on fast ground and French yet to conquer this race.

Royal Confidence – Bypassed as fillies have a poor record in this event.
